For the two people who are wondering where I’ve been, the last two months have been pretty crazy. Life truly gets in the way of blogging (work, family emergency, trip to California, ramping up my cycling and a new kitten).
To my surprise, most bikers seem to be a rather arrogant bunch of dudes. You’d think that they wouldn’t take themselves as seriously because, let’s be blunt, they wear spandex shorts and colorful helmets.
It may have something to do with the demographic of cyclists in general. They are almost uniformly affluent white men on the cusp of middle age. Although, no one’s rushing to give an empathy award to that particular demographic group, wouldn’t you think a goofy dude on a bike would be at least a little friendly?

Welcome back!
Bikers are not an overly friendly lot you say? Makes complete sense.
Then again, given their overall level of personal fitness and the facts of the 4th article in your “related list”, who can really blame them for being somewhat smug about their specific station in life.
Chuckles all around.
Haha, thanks Khandor.
